Original German WWII NSDAP Political National Pennant Flag with Tri-Color End Weight Tassel - 20 1/2" x 37"

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition WWII German NSDAP Political National Wimpel (Pennant) Flag, which measures a very displayable 37 inches in fly by 20 1/2 inches in hoist. It is of all cotton construction, and is double sided with single piece cotton white circles bearing printed black swases (hook crosses) sewn onto both sides of the two piece red body. There is a hemmed over sleeve on the top for hanging, and the point has a lovely tri-color tassel with a weight inside, which would help keep the pennant stationary, as it was intended to be hung vertically.

Condition is very good, showing some wear to the printed insignia, and there is also some age toning to the end tassel. The red field is still quite vibrant, and this would definitely make an eye catching display piece in your WWII collection!

The NSDAP, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (German Worker’s Party), on January 5TH 1919. When Adolf AH joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 AH was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.
