Original British WWII Private Purchase Dagger by Southern & Richardson of Sheffield England with Leather Belt Sheath - Popular Among U.S. Soldiers

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a great British private purchase Southern & Richardson brand fighting dagger made by Southern & Richardson in Sheffield, UK. Many British and American servicemen used these fine fighters in every combat theater in Europe, North Africa and in the Middle East.

The blade measures roughly 6⅞” and is marked to one side:

This dagger is slightly used, with minor oxidation in spots. The blade is razor-sharp still; the tip is intact; The grip has stacked leather washers with brass and black/red fiber spacers at the ends. The mushroom-style pommel is in good order. The overall length is 11½”.

The leather belt sheath is the correct style used by this maker, the securing strap and snap are in great order, and the leather is still pliable. It measures 11 1/4” with the belt loop.
