$58.50The Story
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a heavily service-worn World War Two Royal Air Force Type C brown leather chamois-lined flying helmet.
The helmet has heavy wear overall, with the earpieces heavily warped, and the leather crazed and cracking with a hole in the back where one of the snaps were. The chinstrap is likely a later addition and is not elastic.
The helmet is a smaller size, roughly 6¾, and certainly looks the part of a battle-torn Type C helmet.
A very scarce helmet in battle-worn condition, ready for further research and display.
