
The Story
Original Items: One-of-a-Kind. This is a wonderful World War Two Royal Air Force brown leather chamois-lined flying helmet with elastic snap chinstrap. This fine example comes with a set of Mk. VIII goggles in their original box as well as a Type E* oxygen mask. The helmet is named on the interior to a member of the RAF No. 300 Polish Bomber Squadron, the “Land of Masovia”. It was one of 15 squadrons of the Polish Air Force in exile that served alongside the Royal Air Force in World War II.
This Wonderful Set Consists of:
- WWII British RAF Type C leather flying helmet with integrated headphones marked 10A/12443. The avionics are still fully intact with the wire cover in good condition.
- WWII British Mk VIII Goggles in good condition with heavy wear to the interior. The eyepieces are both in great shape and the straps are still very pliable. A great set of goggles. They come in their original box which are well-marked.
- Original British Type E* oxygen mask marked REF. NO 10A/12570 with functional switch. Tube is in great shape with one spot of serious wear. A truly phenomenal set.
