Original Items. Only One Pair Available. This is an outstanding pair of scarce Bulgarian WWII Soldier’s badges. They include a Bronze Infantry Leader badge issued for Bravery, and a scarce wound badge for a second wound received.
The Infantry Leader badge was awarded by the Bulgarian Inspector General of Infantry for distinguished conduct in the field in five classes, this being the lowest level, bronze. The badge is a screwback which retains the screw, on which is the maker’s information. It measures 2 ⅛ x 1 ½”.
The Bulgarian wound badge depicts a lion holding a shield with a numeral, the numeral denoting the number of times wounded. This is a scarce example issued for two wounds, with the gilt and enamel well retained. The back retains maker’s information and the screw. This measures 2 1/16 x 1 9/16”.
