Original Chinese Current Issue Type 86P Hand Grenade with Fuze & Pull Ring

Original Item. Only One Available. The Type 86P is a Chinese-developed, defensive, fragmentation hand grenade, which is composed of an ovoid main body, and a fuze assembly. The main body of the Type 86P is constructed from an olive green coloured plastic, which has a series of horizontal and vertical external ribs to aid the user’s grip. Present on the top of the main body is a thin-walled externally-threaded cylindrical neck, onto which the fuze is attached. Like all deactivated ordnance, this grenade is Not Available for Export.

This is a great example of a Chinese 86P, which still retains the fuze and pull ring. The fuze is stamped:

The fuze can still be unscrewed to inspect the grenade’s interior. Approximately 1,600 steel balls (2.5 to 3mm) are embedded in plastic, providing the hand-grenade HE-Frag. The grenade measures roughly 3½” tall.

This is only the second example of this attractive grenade we have offered. Comes ready for further research and display.
