Original Item. Only One Available. This is an extraordinarily scarce miniature medal bar to a Cuban soldier who served during World War I through to the Cuban Revolution era. The medals are held on a lovely medal bar, with five medals total.
The medals include:
- Spanish Red Cross decoration, Second class. In Hoc Sicno Salus.Ā
- Unknown Spanish or Cuban medal with green & red ribbon.
- Veterano de la Segunda Guerra Mundial medal. World War II Veteran medal.
- Inter-Allied Victory Medal, Cuban official issue, 1917-1919. This is a circular bronze medal on laterally pierced ball suspension; the face with a winged figure of Victory, arms outstretched, signed āC. Charlesā; the reverse with the arms of Cuba centrally, oak and laurel branches above, left and right, circumscribed above āLA GRAN GUERRA POR LA CIVILIZACIONā (The Great War for Civilisation), the names of the Allied nations to either side of the shield.
- Cuban Long Service Medal with three stars. This is a circular silver medal with laterally-pierced ball suspension; the face with the head and shoulders of a female figure representative of Cuba wearing armour and a plumed helmet; the reverse with the arms of Cuba surmounted by a Phrygian bonnet bearing a five-pointed star within a wreath of oak and laurel, circumscribed āPATRIA HONOR DEBER (Country, Honour, Duty); Three stars indicate 4 citations. The ribbon of this medal is heavily fraying and should be handled very carefully.
