Original French Cold War Era CM6 Chemical Tear Gas Grenade with Fuze - SAE 760 - Inert

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great example of a CM6 chemical tear gas grenade used by law enforcement agencies: Mobile Gendarmerie, Raid, CRS, etc. in France. It is a tear gas and smoke grenade containing 6 capsules which emit CS gas and smoke for 30 seconds, covering an area of 800 m² and 3 to 5 m high. Its body is cylindrical in elastomeric polyethylene plastic with a diameter of 56 mm and a length of approximately 170 mm. Its total mass is 340 g, including 98 g of active material based on 15% CS powder. The body is made up of 2 parts which split upon explosion, fixed by a central red adhesive strip.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons.
