Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely small bust of Napoleon Bonaparte, a French military officer and statesman who rose to prominence during the French Revolution and led a series of successful campaigns across Europe during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars from 1796 to 1815. He was the leader of the French Republic as First Consul from 1799 to 1804, then of the French Empire as Emperor of the French from 1804 to 1814, and briefly again in 1815.
The bust sits atop a Marble plinth, measuring roughly 7½” overall. The bust is unsigned, but appears to be from the late 19th century to the early 20th century.
A very nice example of a small bust of one of the most famous generals in history. It’s very difficult to find a bust of Napoleon without his hat. A great display piece for a desk. Comes ready for further research and display.
