The Story

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely set of French binoculars from the WWII era. They come in their original leather case with an intact carrying strap, and have a very unique spring-loaded eyepiece cover that hangs under the binoculars when in use, to ensure it’s never lost. For some reason, the markings on the barrels were scrubbed off, and we could only just barely make out that the second number in the optic designation is 56, so they are likely either 8 x 56 or 15 x 56 binoculars.

The optics still work great and are very clear. The binoculars retain their neck strap, however it is very weak and should not be used. One side is already very close to coming off.

The original leather carrying case is in good order without any dry rot we can see. The interior lid is named Chas. R. Spinks or Charles R. Spinks, a good research project. The case measures 7½ x 3 x 9”.

Comes ready for further research and display.
