The Story

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is an excellent embroidered image to commemorative a soldiers’ service. This framed image is for Musk. Zipf, who served with the 1st (1st East Prussian) Grenadiers "Crown Prince" as indicated by the green Dunkelblau shoulder board under his portrait, depicting a 1 Button over a Crown over R over III. The image is in very good condition although as there is no glass, there is some damage and heavy loss of color in places.

The soldier is only known to us by his portrait in the center as well as his unit, rank and last name. Under his portrait is a shield reading 09/11, denoting that he served in the regiment from 1909-1911. At the time Germany had mandatory military service for all able-bodied males.

The frame measures 18 ¾ x 22 ¾” and will become a great display piece, and glass could be added if one chose. There is some damage to the frame as shown but nothing horrible.

Ready to display.
