Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Aluminum EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with an original natural brown finished leather belt. The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOTT MIT UNS ("God (is) with us") inside a double rope border around a closed wing Wehrmachtadler (Armed Forces Eagle), with a partial oak leaf wreath at the bottom. Nice aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in good condition, and is a single piece injection molded and crimped example. It does show some surface wear, common due to the softer aluminum alloy, but the design is still clear.
This buckle was originally entirely painted standard Heer olive gray, and while this is worn on the front, the rear still still shows over 90%. It is maker marked by the clasp loop with HK, and it still retains the Pre-1941 leather tab, which has a clear maker marking inside a double diamond:
HERMAN KNOLLER
1939
PFORZ HEIM
The leather belt is in very good condition, and measures about 37.5” when fully extended. It is also marked 95 on the buckle end, for 95cm (37.4in), and doesn't seem to have stretched much over the years. It is a lovely natural brown color, and still retains the correct leather tab with a double row of 7 holes for length adjustment. It is marked on the inside with 8.39 B.A.Fü., which indicates processing in August 1939 through the Bekleidungsamt (Clothing Depot) in the German city beginning with "Fü", which we have unfortunately not been able to identify.
Overall condition in very good with an exception eye appeal and patina! Ready to display!
