Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a very interesting certificate, of which there are likely no other examples. This was presented to Ernst Thriemers on June 18th, 1933 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Berlstedt Veterans and Military Association. It was presented to Thriemers, who founded the organization in 1883. The certificate has bronze paint on his name, the “Certificate of Honor”, and 50, denoting 50 years. The two shields near the top appears to have been colored or touched up more recently, and the certificate is not in a frame.
It measures 12 ⅝ x 19” and is in very good condition. It is marked near the bottom with the maker’s mark, Diplomverlag R. Borkmann, Weimar.
A great certificate, ready for further research and display.
