Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely set of Pre-WWII training manuals for the Heer Army, which give a great view into the re-militarization of Germany during the NSDAP period. Originally written years before the war, these books continued to be used as reference materials well into WWII. The two books in this set include the following:
- Der Infanterist Neuausgabe (The Infantryman New Addition) training manual, subtitled Handbuch fĂŒr Selbstunterricht und Ausbildung des jungen Soldaten der Infantry (Handbook for self-study and training of the young infantry soldier). This looks to be NAMED on the inside of the front cover, and even has a period paper used as notes folded in between the pages. This book is full of training and combat strategies, and was an essential part of Infantry training. Condition is very good, with wear around the edges, but no major damage to the exterior.
- H.Dv.240 SchieĂvorschrift fĂŒr Gewehr (Karabiner), leichtes Maschinengewehr, Pistole ufw. (Firing regulations for rifle (carbine), light machine gun, pistol, etc.) manual, often shortened to (Schv.f.Gew.), 1937 edition. These books contain complete instructions on the training program for the various small arms used by the German Army. It even has pages later on for record keeping during the training period, and this example is NAMED on the inside of the front cover! Overall condition is very nice, though the cover over the spine has torn away.
Definitely some great items from pre WWII Germany!
