This is a very interesting lot of five complete film reels from the WWII era, some German and some American, some with labels denoting the content, and some that are mysteries. We do not have the equipment to check these, making for a fun project for someone with the means!
The reels include:
- Siemens & Halske marked reel container with label reading Rural scenes, farm animals, etc..
- Kodak Container with film labeled “Der Kampf in Stalingrad war footage, dated 1942-43. This is the reel with the most potential! The reel itself is Siemens & Halske.
- Bass Camera Company of Chicago container, with AFRICAN written on container. Reel is castle films. No clue on content.
- Bell & Howell Co Chicago container, with label reading GRAF SPREE. Reel is castle films. No clue on content.
- German RWU container, with INDIANA written on label. No clue on content!
A really interesting set, ready for further research and display.
