Original German WWI / WWII Regimental Fife Musical Instrument in Leather & Brass Belt Carrier

Original Item: Only One Available. This is unusual and extremely scarce. An original German WWI & WWII Fife, as in "Musket, Fife and Drum" contained in its matched original high quality leather & brass belt carrier.

The Fife is 15" in overall length, made in a fine quality wood with silvered brass caps on each end. It seems functional but we don't know exactly how to play. There are no markings we can find on either the fife or case, but we’ve had a near-identical one before.

The Fife is contained in the most marvelous leather-lined, leather-covered carrying "tube" with brass end caps. The top (throat) is of substantially constructed brass with large spring cap for sealing the Fife inside. The brass top mount has a bracket to which is permanently attached a substantial leather belt frog. We couldn’t find any markings.
