The Story
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very nice graduated protractor, model KW140, for artillery use. It is constructed from aluminum, and is marked on the back of the bar:
Wichmann
A6294
(Waffenamt)
WaA538
There is very little reference on these protractors, as they are quite scarce to find. This example measures 5½” in diameter and comes in its original carrying case, which is rubberized canvas. There is a maker’s marking and date under the flap, although we could only discern the date, 1938. The elastic securing strap is still intact despite it being mostly leather!
Ready for display!
