Original German WWII Field Gear Lot with M38 Size 3 Gas Mask in Canister, Ammunition Pouches, K98 Cleaning Kit & Eating Utensils

Original Item: Only One Set Available. This is a lovely set of German WWII Field gear, representing a good portion of what a soldier would carry as part of their standard loadout. It includes an M38 gas mask in a German canister, two marked ammunition pouches, a K98 cleaning kit, and various utensils.

The M38 gas mask is marked Size 3 on the front. German WWII Gas masks came in 3 sizes, this example is a size 2 (Medium), which was usually indicated by a number printed on the front of the mask between the eye pieces. The large size masks were designated with "1" and the small size is "3", which is a bit counter intuitive. It has a good Fe41 filter with various markings across the mask. The canister is heavily oxidized and worn, and the interior is covered in rust. A good placeholder gas mask.

The ammo pouches are stamped 0/1032/6001 and ACKVALEDERWAREN G.m.b.H. Bad Kreuznach. Both are in good service-worn condition and would look great on a belt together. The K98 cleaning kit is marked G. APPEL and does appear to be complete.

The utensils include ana combined fork and spoon marked c&cw43. There are two loose forks, one marked with the Luftwaffe eagle and the other marking CH.38 and Fl.U.V.. There is also a spoon marked FBCM41 and ROSTFREI, for Rust Free.

This is a really great German field gear set, ready for further research and display.
