Original Item: Only One Available. Here we have a great pair of Heer Army 1st Issue Winterhose Winter Parka Trousers, one of many items developed for the cold eastern front during WWII. As with many of the "winter" items, they are reversible, with a wool "Mouse Grey" side, and a cotton white side, which is more off white now due to wear and age toning. The 1st issue was made 1942-1943, and did not have the knee patches or storm flaps that later types did.
This set is stamped with size (III), which is a larger size, believed to fit waist sizes 40-43, and all sizes have a 28" inseam. These were made to be worn over several layers of clothing, so they are already oversized, and feature suspenders so that they will not fall down. As with many WWII items, the "waist" on these is much higher than where it is measured today.
Condition of these is very good, showing light to moderate wear, but no major damage such as tears or holes. All of the buttons on both sides look to be included, and the trousers can easily be reversed from the grey to the white side. Definitely a nice solid pair of 1st pattern trousers!
Approximate Measurements:-
Waist: 16.5"
Inseam: 29"
