Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely BeVo style machine embroidered Wehrmachtadler breast eagle from a German WWII Heer (Army) Enlisted Man's or NCO's Wool Tunic. The eagle is the 1940 pattern, with light green background and gray thread embroidered eagle. These were worn on the breast of the uniform tunic, just above and sometimes partly on the pocket.
This example was cut off a uniform, complete with some surrounding fabric, most likely removed using scissors. The insignia is about 4" x 1 5/8", with the uniform section measuring approximately 4 3/8" x 2". The fabric is the correct feldgrau wool used used on wartime M36 tunics, and it is attached with the correct stitching. The interior side shows part of the light gray lining of the tunic.
A very nice example of a German WWII "Cut Off" eagle, ready to display!
