Original Item. Only One Available. The Flak 30 (Flugzeugabwehrkanone 30) and improved Flak 38 were 20 mm anti-aircraft guns used by various German forces throughout World War II. It was not only the primary German light anti-aircraft gun, but by far the most produced German artillery piece throughout the war. It was produced in a variety of models, notably the Flakvierling 38 which combined four Flak 38 autocannons onto a single carriage. As with all deactivated ordnance, this item is not available for export.
This German 20mm round is in good shape with some yellow paint loss on the head. The projectile is detachable from the shell and is a tad bit loose in the shell. The fuze of the projectile is marked 22 (Waffenamt) 2cm Kpf. Z.45 foz 42. The yellow is marked wa37 c 42 W. The bottom of the shell is marked eeo 953 44 Waffenamt. The shell is in fair shape with some flaws but overall a great piece. Measures approximately 8 inches long.
The Flak 38 gun was used singularly or in the Quad Vierling 38 mount as an anti-aircraft weapon. The brass cartridge case is percussion primed and retains most of the original lacquer. This is a phenomenal piece with clear markings, don’t miss it.
