Original Item. Only One Available. The Flak 30 (Flugzeugabwehrkanone 30) and improved Flak 38 were 20 mm anti-aircraft guns used by various German forces throughout World War II. It was not only the primary German light anti-aircraft gun, but by far the most produced German artillery piece throughout the war. It was produced in a variety of models, notably the Flakvierling 38 which combined four Flak 38 autocannons onto a single carriage. As with all deactivated ordnance, this item is not available for export.
This German 20mm round is in good shape with great paint retention on the head. The projectile cannot currently be removed from the shell The fuze of the projectile is marked (Waffenamt) AZ 5045 RH S197 37 32b. The bottom of the shell is marked (Waffenamt) WaA22 38 19f P181. The shell is in good shape and appears to have been sealed. It measures 8” long.
The Flak 38 gun was used singularly or in the Quad Vierling 38 mount as an anti-aircraft weapon. This is a phenomenal piece with clear markings, don’t miss it.
