Original Item: Only One Available. This an incredible example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Flag Car / Automobile / Vehicle Fender Wimpel (Pennant) used for the vehicles of high ranking officers and their staff. There is no frame inside this pennant, so it would fly freely when attached to the mounting staff on the vehicle, and would not be “rigid” like most others we’ve seen.
The pennant measures 7 ⅝ x 12 ⅜” and is double sided. It is blue-gray or Panzergrau in color with a heavy intricately chain-stitched Luftwaffe eagle on each side.
The pennant retains its spring clip attached to a small rope loop at the top end and a roughly 12” long rope protruding from the bottom end.
Condition is very good, especially considering the age, though there definitely is minor wear around the border. Luftwaffe pennants such as these are extremely rare, and this is the first example like this that we have ever had. Ready to display!
