Original German WWII Luftwaffe Service Used Summer Flying Suit - Fliegerschutzanzug für Sommer

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice service used WWII German Luftwaffe Summer Flyers Suit (Fliegerschutzanzug für Sommer). It is a one piece, coverall style summer flight suit constructed in slightly mottled, white flecked, tan cotton with leather and metal fittings. We often see these looking like they never left the depot, but this example has lots of period repairs, suggesting it saw long service. It may have even seen service post war in West or East Germany, and it has a great service used look that is impossible to duplicate.

Most buttons, snaps and zippers are present, though they definitely do show wear from age and use. The neck closure strap on the left side is also missing, though the loop and female snaps still remain. We checked for maker markings, and the snaps on the suit are all marked PRYM 6H. The zippers are by several different makers, showing ULTRA, PRYM, B.&Co. and R4CINNADEL stampings. All still have their pull tabs, however the leather extensions are gone on most, and the main closure also is not able to open fully due do stitched over damage. As this suit looks to have seen post war use, some of the zippers may have been imported.

We were not able to find any maker markings or tags on the interior, which is not uncommon for a suit that has seen this amount of use. Repeated repairs and possible zipper replacements would have removed many of these.

A classic piece of Luftwaffe flight gear offered in lovely "salty" service used condition, with some great research and display potential!
