Original German WWII M39 Egg Grenade Case with Original Internal Rack and 30 Replica Grenades

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very rare original German World War Two egg grenade carry case, complete with an internal rack for transporting 30 German Type Model 39 Egg Hand Grenade Eierhandgranate 39. The set has been completed with 30 replica M39 egg grenades.

The case is offered in good solid condition. It still retains all original features including wood carry handle in very good condition, cross locking system, and has original paint. Some of the paint is missing, which has also removed the stenciled markings on the outside. There is a maker mark and code pressed into the outside handle side edge, it is difficult to read but is present. The interior of the container is stenciled (reproduction stenciling) with 15 Stielhgr. 24 denoting that the case would have carried 15 Stick grenades, but these cases were interchangeable for the stick & egg grenades, so the egg grenades being in this case was not an uncommon occurrence during the war.

The internal rack offered in rough overall condition with original intact carry handle and functional hinges. The rack shows heavy pitting and minor material loss from rust and wear but overall it is solid. It has been expertly stripped and repainted in correct ordnance grey.

Also included are 30 reproduction M39 Egg grenades with fuses, considered by most to be the very best on the market. The 30 grenades are a $750 value just by themselves! The fuses of the grenades were originally carried in boxes mounted on the top of the rack.
