Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely service used set of genuine WWII German Mess Kit Utensils - Knife, Fork, Spoon, and Can Opener. These lock together, making a perfect set for any WWII collector. Originally these were often issued in a felt case, however these are offered without one.
This set is mismatched, made up of components from several different kits. The steel can opener / sleeve is marked H.&K.H. / 41 / ROSTFREI, a known maker with a date of 1941, and has the correct Reichsadler Eagle marking. The plated steel spoon is marked FBCM 43. The stainless steel fork is marked FBCM 42. The knife is stainless steel and marked on the blade for Thomas Wielputz of Solingen.
All components are in service-used condition. showing some real wear from service. This is a great set and typical of what soldiers would have been outfitted with later in the war, as supplies were dwindling.
