Original German WWII NSDAP City of Nuremberg Small Political National Pennant Flag - 6 5/8" x 11 3/4"

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition WWII German NSDAP Political National Wimpel (Pennant) Flag, which measures a very displayable 11 3/4 inches in fly by 6 5/8 inches in hoist. This example is rather substantially constructed, and could probably be flown outside or inside, though we suspect it was most likely inside. It is of all cotton construction, and has a cotton white circle with a multi-piece stitched on swas (hook cross) on the front. The reverse however has a machine embroidered applied oval panel showing Nürnberger Burg (Nuremberg Castle), with NÜRNBERG at the bottom. The hoist end header is sewn around a small lanyard, with a loop around a ring and spring clip at the top, and a 16 1/2" long halyard rope at the bottom.

Condition is very good, showing age toning overall, as well as a few areas of staining and some soiling. The red field is still quite vibrant, and this would definitely make an eye catching display piece. Ready to display!

The NSDAP, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (German Worker’s Party), on January 5TH 1919. When Adolf AH joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 AH was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.
