The Story

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei - NSDAP) Vehicle Pennant or Antenna Finial or Topper (EndstĂĽck). It is constructed of nickel plated brass, and the design is the standard NSDAP mobile/canted swas (hook cross) attached directly to the top of the socket. It looks to be single piece cast brass construction, and measures 2 7/8"H by 1 15/16"W.

Condition is very good, showing some flaking and wear to the nickel plating, but no major damage. This would pair perfectly with a vehicle pennant!

The National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei , abbreviated NSDAP), commonly referred to in English as the NSDAP Party, was a far-right political party in Germany that was active between 1920 and 1945, that created and supported the ideology of National Socialism. Its precursor, the German Workers' Party (Deutsche Arbeiterpartei; DAP), existed from 1919 to 1920.

The NSDAP Party emerged from the German nationalist, racist and populist Freikorps paramilitary culture, which fought against the communist uprisings in post-World War I Germany. The party was created to draw workers away from communism and into völkisch nationalism. Initially, NSDAP political strategy focused on anti-big business, anti-bourgeois, and anti-capitalist rhetoric, although this was later downplayed to gain the support of business leaders, and in the 1930s the party's main focus shifted to anti-Semitic and anti-Marxist themes.
