Original German WWII NSDAP Small Political National Pennant Flag - 10 3/4" x 17 3/4"

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition WWII German NSDAP Political National Wimpel (Pennant) Flag, which measures a very displayable 17 3/4 inches in fly by 10 3/4 inches in hoist. These were usually flown inside, as it is not quite the weight of fabric needed to survive outdoors, and lacks the usual corner reinforcements we would see on one intended for the outdoors. It is of all cotton construction, and is double sided with single piece cotton white circles bearing printed black swasses (hook crosses) sewn onto both sides. The hoist end header is sewn around a small lanyard, with loops at both end for securing the pennant.

Condition is very good, showing age toning overall, as well as a few areas of staining and some soiling. There are also a few small holes from tiny tears in the fabric. The red field is still quite vibrant, and this would definitely make an eye catching display piece. Ready to display!

The NSDAP, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (German Worker’s Party), on January 5TH 1919. When Adolf AH joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 AH was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.
