Original German WWII NSDAP State Service Staff Vehicle Pennant Flag - 7 ½" x 12"

Original Item: Only One Available. This a very rare example of a WWII German NSDAP Reichsdienstflagge (State Service Flag) Car / Automobile / Vehicle Fender Pennant (Wimpel) used for high ranking National Socialist Party official vehicles. This would indicate that the vehicle was there on official "State Service" reasons, allowing it to be easily identified at sensitive areas.

We have had several previously that were rectangular fender pennants, but this example is the more standard triangular type, with a halyard inside the header and spring clips at either end. The pennant measures 7 ½ inches in hoist and 12 inches in fly, and is double sided, made from four layers of cloth, two on each side, with wool on the exterior and cotton on the interior. The design is the same as the official NSDAP "State Service" Flag. It has a partly embroidered embellished swas to the center, with a partly embroidered German Reichsadler Eagle in the upper left corner, which are sewn through both layers of fabric on each side.

Condition of the pennant is very good, though it does show a good amount of moth damage to the outer wool layer, with some areas almost falling off. The colors are well retained, and the spring clips are still both fully functional. This is the first example of this type of pennant that we have had.
