The Story
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic WWII-manufactured cast zinc desk model of the Panzer I which was a light tank produced by Germany in the 1930s. Its name is short for Panzerkampfwagen I (German for "armored fighting vehicle mark I"), abbreviated as PzKpfw I. The tank's official German ordnance inventory designation was Sd.Kfz. 101 ("special purpose vehicle 101"). The two barrels at the top are brass, but the rest of the model appears to be cast zinc, with the base made of wood.
The piece together measures 3 x 4 Âľ x 3” and the tank is still well-attached to the base.Â
The tank retains most of its paint with wear in the recessed areas.
A great example that will look great on your desk at work or home. Ready for further research and display.
