$88.50The Story
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a well-worn and captured Post-WWI manufactured Luger police holster. There is a faint Police unit marking on the front flap, and a marking or serial number on the back, 892. This example is inscribed under the front flap McGilvra / 36289155, indicating that the holster was captured during World War II by Laverne R McGilvra, who served with the 82nd Airborne Division in France during the war. His service requires a lot more research!
The holster originally had a vertical securing strap and was refurbished with a diagonal strap. The front of the flap has a faint marking beginning with S.H., which would denote police in the Hannover district. Both belt loops are retained as is the pull-string to remove the pistol.
A really nice holster that will complete any WWI-WWII Era P08 Luger pistol. Ready to display or use!
