$268.50The Story
Original Item. Only One Available. This is an extremely scarce piece of German field gear that we have not offered before, the Pioneer / Engineer tool pouch with its original carrying strap. It is made of black leather, and still retains the contents listed on the interior side of the flap. There are no contents in the bag.
The underside of the flap show a faint maker’s mark and Waffenamt stamp:
g(?)mk 41
WaA279
We were unable to identify this maker, so the first letter may be incorrect. The list of contents is in good shape with moderate wear.
There are faint markings to the front of the flap which may be the name of the American who took the pouch. The securing straps and buckles are all in good shape and the carrying strap is still well-attached to the rings on the back. There is some crazing and cracking in the strap.
A very rare example, the first we have offered. Ready for display.
