The Story
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very attractive German WWII rifle grenade storage crate / chest with good retained stencils, an original rope handle, and a still-functional front latch. The crate measures 7 ÂĽ x 6 ½ x 16 ½” closed and does have heavy scuffing, staining, and overall wear.Â
The crate displays very well and is marked to the front:
Heeres-Munition
Gesamtgewicht…..Kg.
The top of the lid and one of the ends are stamped G. Sprgr. The rope handle shows heavy wear and fraying where it comes out of the top so it should be handled by its bottom.
A good example, ready to display.
