Original German WWII Second Pattern Judicial Administration Official's Aluminum Belt Buckle by F. W. Assmann & Söhne - Dated 1937

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice lightly used example of a rare German WWII Second Pattern Justice Administration Official's belt buckle, constructed from die stamped aluminum. These officials were responsible for managing the Judicial system, and this is the first time we have had one of these rare belt buckles. The design features a round Lauren Leaf wreath with a bow at the bottom, with a spread-wing Reichsadler Eagle looking to the viewer's left. The "first pattern" design featured a police style NSDAP eagle in the center, holding a sword with one foot and lighting bolts with another. Both patterns of buckles buckle were available in two colors, silver for Justice officials and gold for Prison Officials.

The buckle is marked on center of the back with the "Barred A" trademark of F. W. Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid, a large maker of belts, buttons, and other accoutrements. Below this is D.R.G.M. (Deutsches Reiches Gebrauchs Musterschutz), which means the buckles are a protected patented design under the Reich Government, and under that is 37. for manufacture in 1937.

The buckle is in very good condition, showing light wear and no major damage. There is a bit of oxidation in areas, as well as some scuffing, however the design is very well retained. There is no left side clasp included with the buckle, which often would be sewn into the belt. A hard to find belt buckle from the NSDAP period in Germany. Ready to add to your collection!
