Original Items: Only One Set Available. It includes a wide variety of items, which are as follows:
- One German WWII Deutsche Wehrmacht armband, for uniformed men who were attached to the armed forces during WWII. Often, these were worn by men of the Reichsarbeitsdienst and Reichsbahn who were operating with the German Army in the occupied countries
- One German WWII HJ National Youth Association Armband, service worn. These were worn by members of the HJ, and this example looks to have seen long use, and possibly moth damage post service.
- One German WWII 2nd Class Silver Wound Badge (Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber. This is an early silvered brass example of the silver wound badge, which still has most of the original finish on the front, except on the swas (hook cross) and wreath, which show wear. The back is maker stamped as issued with LDO number L/11 on the back under the pin catch, which represents Wilhelm Deumer of LĂĽdenscheid. The The LDO, (Leistungs Gemeinschaft der Deutscher Ordenshersteller - Administration of German orders Manufacturers), was a self-governing organization formed in 1941 which regulated the manufacturing of all German awards. The firm Wilhelm Deumer was fully licensed in the organization, entry number 11.
- One German WWII Grade I Luftwaffe Air Force SchĂĽtzenschnur Marksmanship Lanyard, in very good condition. There is some oxidation to the badge at the top, but the cord is still in great shape, with just a bit of mothing on the back of the top.
- One German WWII Bakelite Housing Rangefinder Compass with partial lanyard. It still looks to read correct magnetic north, and is in very good shape. It even has a lock to keep the needle from moving when closed. The only issue to note is that the hinge on the cover is a bit loose, so it can be hard to properly align the mirror for use.
A great little set that could be the start of your collection!
