Original Imperial German Pre-WWI Wilhelm I & Friedrich III Porcelain Tea Pot & Cup Set with Sugar Bowl & Young Wilhelm II Cup - Imperial Eagle Lids - 5 Pieces

Original Items. Only One Set Available. This is an outstanding Imperial German tea set consisting of a porcelain teapot, sugar bowl, and three teacups depicting Wilhelm I, Friedrich III, and Wilhelm II. There are some minor chips and a repair in the teapot, but for a set that dates to the late 1890s - early 1900s, it has held up incredibly well. Both the lid of the teapot and sugar bowl have a gorgeous gold-painted Imperial Eagle at the top.

The teapot measures 9 ½” tall with the lid on, with a base diameter of 4”. It features Wilhelm I on one side and Friedrich III on the other. Both these men died in the same year. Wilhelm passed on March 9th, 1888, three days after Friedrich III had been diagnosed with cancer. He only served 99 days before he passed and Wilhelm II became emperor. 

The sugar bowl measures 5 ½” tall with a 3” base diameter. They also feature the same two men. The teacups each measure 3” tall with a 1 3/4” base diameter. There are two of Friedrich III and one of a young Wilhelm II.

The teapot has a repaired break in the top edge, and there are some scattered chips on the teacups. The eagle on the sugar bowl lid has breakage at the tip of the wings.
