$58.50The Story
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a tremendous display piece, a 9” diameter ceramic wall plate depicting a German field artillery soldier wearing his “Kugelhaube” Pickelhaube with a ball instead of a spike, standing next to an enormous artillery shell marked 42cm, which denotes it as likely being one of the shells used in the “Big Bertha” 42 centimeter kurze Marinekanone 14 L/12 or Minenwerfer-Gerät (M-Gerät) Siege howitzer.
The plate is 1⅞” tall and has a hole in the back where a wire likely was to hang it, but it is now gone. There is minor cracking to the back but overall this piece has survived well with great coloring.
A great plate, ready for display!
