Original Imperial German WWI Gewehr 98 Sniper Scope by Rudiger & Bischoff of Braunschweig in Original Leather Case

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a scarce piece to find in any condition, an original World War I sniper scope for the German Gewehr 98 bolt-action rifle. This example retains its dial engravings:

This scope still has a mostly clear optic, but the scope is missing all of the parts for mounting on a rifle. 

The scope measures 11” long and retains the adjustment dial. The scope may need some work before it can function properly. There is no serial number on this example, so we are unsure if it’s wartime or early post-war.

The scope comes in the original leather case, which is in rough condition with the bottom piece missing the majority of its stitching, and the straps are broken. The case looks well enough for display.
