The Story

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is the war chronicle service document of Hans Kahl, Pioneer Company 299, Infantry Regiment Nr. 16. These were put together after the war to commemorate the service of Imperial German soldiers as a reminder of their time serving the empire.

Kahl enlisted on December 18th, 1915. The document also lists Geiger’s lengthy battle record, including Flanders, the Somme, Arras, and the Meuse. He was discharged on January 8th, 1919.

The frame measures 18 x 22 ¼” and is in good condition overall. This is a really great document, one of the nicest we’ve seen. Comes ready for further research and display.
