Original Imperial German WWI Military Bugle Bearing Prussian Crest by C.W. Moritz of Berlin - Dated 1914

Original Item: Only One Available. This German Military bugle is of all brass construction with nickel silver fittings, typical of German brass instruments. This example is dated 1914, and witnessed the First World War likely in its entirety. There is very heavy denting across the bugle, especially in the tubing, and one of the suspension rings is gone. It comes complete with its original mouthpiece which appears seized in place.

The German Silver bell krantz is in rough condition with staining and denting.

The Prussian Arms in an Oval shield displays a Spread Eagle wearing a Crown with F.R. to center, with the eagle carrying a Sword and a Scepter in either claw. This is soldered onto the bell as standard. The bugle is stamped under the Prussian arms:

This bugle is one of the rougher examples we have seen, but is certainly a battle-torn example. It looks to be made entirely of seamed brass tubing, but there is very heavy denting.
