Original Imperial German WWI Military Bugle Bearing Prussian Crest with Original Cording by Karl Deimer of Karlsrune - Dated 1915

Original Item: Only One Available. This German Military bugle is of all brass construction with nickel silver fittings, typical of German brass instruments. Showing use it bears numerous small dents with some scrapes, but is absolutely authentic. It comes complete with its original mouthpiece (removable) and two suspension rings along with its original red and black cording, the first example with cording we’ve offered.

The German Silver bell krantz is in good condition, as it is a harder alloy than brass, and so it would not be dented as easily.

The Prussian Arms in an Oval shield displays a Spread Eagle wearing a Crown with F.R. to center, with the eagle carrying a Sword and a Scepter in either claw. This is soldered onto the bell as standard. Under this is a maker marking and date:

This is a known maker of German brass instruments in the early 20th century, with examples of rotary valve tubas made into the 1930s. This bugle is the best example we have seen, and still rings clear if one knows how to use it. This is the first example we’ve offered with the original cording, which does show heavy wear and material loss in spots.
