Original Imperial Japanese WWII Large Army Marked Signal Flag Cutoff - 37 x 52”

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very large and interesting Japanese Army Signal flag that measures roughly 37 x 52” in heavily worn condition. The front bears two large Kanji characters which translated to ARMY, so this is more than likely an Army Signal Corps flag.

There is very heavy damage and staining across the flag, with tearing and loss of material in places across. It is multi-piece construction, with some areas showing an almost quilt-like stitch pattern. This example certainly could use more research.
