Original Item. Only One Available. This is a scarce example of an Imperial Russian “Excellent Shooting” badge awarded for Marksmanship in the Imperial Russian Army. The badge retains its original pin and is the scarce “vaulted” variant, as most were flat.
The badge measures 1⅜ x 1⅞” and is in fair condition, but the solder for the pin is coming loose. Most examples we have come across are missing the pin as they fell off easily. This is the second example we have offered. It depicts crossed rifles with EXCELLENT SHOOTING spelled in Russian letters. This example is in a bright silver color, while the last example we had appeared bronze, so it is possible that there are tiers to this award. A good research project.
