Original Indian WWII Commemorative Kukri Plaque with Six Regimental Badges - 13⅝ x 15½”

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a very interesting Indian commemorative plaque with two mounted Kukris and six regimental badges made up of Indians from the World War II period.

The regimental badges include the Imperial Indian Army 101st Grenadiers regiment badge, the 61st Cavalry Regiment badge, the 4th Gwalior Infantry Regiment badge, the 18th Cavalry Regiment badge, the “Service Before Self” Indian army logo, and the Indian Parachute Regiment badge. The plaque measures 13⅝ x 15½”.

The attached Kukris really add some great character to the plaque, with lovely nickel-plated steel blades decorated with small floral motifs. The pommels are lovely lion’s heads.

A beautiful display piece for any WWII collection.
