Original Italian Pre-WWI Model 1888 Cavalry Officer’s Sword with Etched Blade & Scabbard

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very niche model of sword, an Italian 1888 Cavalry Officer’s sword. This sword dates to the Pre-World War I period. Overall condition is fair, with heavy wear to the hilt and blade. The blade decoration is tremendous and quite detailed, but there is no maker’s mark.

The guard is heavily worn with loss of finish, and the grip shows wear but is still present. The 29 1/2” blade is in fair condition but does have some heavy oxidation and wear to the plating. The blade shows heavy wear but was kept well enough in its scabbard. The overall length is 35 1/4”.

The original scabbard shows heavy wear to the plating but is still intact with its two suspension rings. A very worn example but one that has survived a lot.
