The Story

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very scarce model of canteen, and is the very first we’ve ever had. The Italian M1907 canteen has wooden construction, with a metal reinforcing band at top and bottom. Screw-in, wooden plug closure. This example has a canvas and leather strap attached at one side and connecting to a knob on the other.

This rare example retains the scarce wooden corkscrew cap, and even has the smaller top cap for soldiers to take small sips. These are very difficult to find in any condition, and this example is very well-used.
