Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice original WWII Issue holster for the Japanese Nambu type 14 semi automatic pistol. It is constructed of thick leather with a hard shell lid which covers the pistol's grip as well as the spare ammunition compartment and firing pin pouch. There is also a flap covering the ammunition compartment, which is intact, and a loop inside to hold the combination cleaning rod take down tool, which is still intact. The rear of the holster has a belt loop, as well as two loops for a shoulder strap, which is still attached! We very rarely see these with an intact shoulder strap, or even a portion of one!
These holsters were originally marked inside the lid, and this example still has the original Japanese kanji markings, but it is far too worn to read properly. Under this looks to be an arsenal or maker marking. The holster is missing the elastic retention piece that clips onto the knob at the bottom, but otherwise it’s in good shape. Â
The holster and strap are in good used condition, showing age and wear, but still in great shape. A great example, complete with a cleaning rod.
