The Story
Original Item: Only One Available. Extremely rare and nearly impossible to find on today's market! Totally inert and demilitarized according to BATF guidelines with hollow body and deactivated fuse. Not available for Export.
The TM-35 was a rectangular, metal-cased Soviet anti-tank mine used during the Second World War. The mine has a metal case, which is rectangular with a carrying handle on one side and a large raised pressure plate in the center. Sufficient pressure on the central pressure plate presses down on one end of an internal see-saw like lever, which removes the retaining pin from an MUV fuse, releasing the striker, triggering the mine.
The mine's main charge consisted of 200 gram blocks of TNT packed into the metal case. The mine could be fitted with a number of improvised anti-handling devices utilizing the MUV pull fuse.
This example is marked 41 in black stencil, denoting a manufacture date of 1941 and is in fair overall condition with much exterior original paint still remaining. There is a bit of corrosion on the exterior and the inside, but it is solid overall, but there is heavy bubbling in the finish across the mine, and the small hinged door at the front is heavily oxidized. It still retains components of the original fuze trigger housing, which are often removed. It measures 8.75" x 8.75" x 3.5", and would be a welcome addition to any WWII ordnance collection!
