Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great rare signed “Artist’s Proof” print of “The Day I Owned the Sky” by Marcus W. Stewart Jr., signed at the bottom by WWII Ace Brigadier General Robert L. Scott Jr. The frame is well-put together and the print is very clear. This is a limited run set of artist’s proofs, made in far fewer numbers than the normal prints, number 23 out of 50.

On December 26, 1942, while flying over Yunnan-Yi, China, Colonel Scott (in a single pass) shot down 2 Japanese Kawasaki Ki-48s. Scott's Curtiss P-40K Warhawk, Old Exterminator, returned from that mission without a scratch. General Scott spoke of that mission as the day I owned the sky.

Scott commanded the 23rd Fighter Group, 14th Air Force (the Flying Tigers). He finished the war with 22 confirmed victories. General Scott is the author of the famous book God Is My Co-Pilot, and the book sharing the same name as this print, The Day I Owned The Sky.

The print is sighted by Scott and the artist at the bottom. The original certificate of authenticity is also in a sleeve on the back of the frame.
